Royal Challengers Bengaluru superstar, Virat Kohli, was in sublime form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash against Gujarat Titans on Sunday. Be it on the field, with the bat, or with the mic in his hand, Kohli was on fire all throughout the game. While his moment to bat came later in the game, the RCB star made his aggression visible early on in the field. After Bengaluru pacer Mohammed Siraj cleaned up Gujarat batter Shahrukh Khan, Virat could be seen giving the batter a sendoff from the boundary rope.
In a video that has surfaced on social media, Kohli could be seen pointing at the pavilion soon after Siraj bowled Shahrukh. Here's the video:
Kohli went on to score 44-ball 70 in the match while his teammate Will Jacks recorded a 41-ball 100. The start Virat gave RCB, especially when Jacks was struggling to middle the ball, set the right platform for the Bengaluru franchise to chase down the target of 201 runs.
After the game, Kohli made sure he let the critics know of his mindset on the chatter around his strike-rate and him not playing spin bowlers well.
"All the people who talk about strike-rates and me not playing spin well are the ones talking about this stuff. For me, it's about winning the games for the team and there's a reason why you've done it for 15 years, you've done this day in and day out, you've won games for your teams, I'm not quite sure that if you haven't been in that situation yourself, to sit and talk about the game from the box. For me, people can talk about their assumptions day in and day out, but those who have done day in and day out, they know what's happening and it's a kind of muscle memory for me now," he said.
