Grace Harris (3-0-7-2) comes up for a quick interview. Says that the pitch is pretty outstanding and she tried to give it a good rip. Shares that Meg Lanning advised her to pull the length back as the batters were looking to use their feet. On her outstanding catch to dismiss Chamari Athapaththu, she replies that she just committed herself to that catch and it went well. She is backing the batting unit to chase down this total and her advice is to use the footwork smartly.

Sri Lanka Women started decently in the Powerplay and scored 38 runs but failed to capitalize on the start. After the departure of Chamari Athapaththu, the scoring rate nosedived and the set batter Harshitha Madavi struggled to score freely. Meg Lanning unleashed an army of spin bowlers and everyone contributed to the cause. 13 overs were bowled by the Aussie spinners and they all were very economical. Megan Schutt bowled at the death and finished with a 4-wicket haul.

Yet another fine bowling show from Australia Women! They were right on the money, especially after the Powerplay and choked the flow of runs completely. The Lankan batters struggled to find the boundaries and the pressure started to mount. Towards the end, they tried to go big but kept on losing the wickets. The end result is just 112 runs on the board.
