Lahiru Thirimanne played a good hand of 57.

But the Australian bowlers struck back to get crucial wickets.

Sri Lanka ultimately got to 253/8 in 50 overs.

The Lankan bowlers kept chipping away at the wickets even though Australia scored at a brisk rate.

Australia eventually folded for 233 and the 20-run win booked Sri Lanka a date with India in the second semi-final.
