Hockey Coach Negi Training Budding Players On Footpath In Indore

While Madhya Pradesh is busy in organising the Khelo India Youth Games, a prominent city still languishes with lack of sports infrastructure and basic facilities for the budding hockey players. Former Indian goalkeeper Mir Ranjan Negi, who was behind the inspiration of Shah Rukh Khan-starred "Chak De India", was seen training budding hockey players at a footpath adjacent to the wall of the district jail in Indore. Negi expressed his dissatisfaction over the construction of Indore Municipal Corporation's waste transfer station in place of the club's hockey ground in the Azad Nagar area.
