Sao Paulo:
Brazil's soccer game against Egypt on Sept. 6 in Cairo has been called off because of security concerns.
The National Football Confederation said on its website on Tuesday that Egypt requested the cancellation. Instead, Brazil will play an exhibition game against an undetermined opponent.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was ousted in February and is now on trial on charges of complicity in the killing of protesters.
Earlier this month, it was announced Brazil and Argentina will meet in a two-game tournament in September. Argentina will host the first game of the Superclassic of The Americas on Sept. 14. The second game will be two weeks later in the northern Brazilian city of Belem.
