England outplayed India in every department to win the third Test and draw the five-match series 1-1. For the hosts, the attack on the final day was led by Moeen Ali who claimed six wickets to rattle Indian batsmen.

England skipper was visibly pleased with his team's performance. After all, England had won a Test for the first time in almost a year.

"Very happy with the performance here. We won every single session and every player stood up in this Test," he said after the match.

Cook's Indian counterpart looked visibly disappointed. "We had a few soft dismissals yesterday. Had we batted better, we could have been in a better position today," he said. "We allowed Moeen Ali to bowl really well and will now have to be positive before the fourth Test. Will also have to look at the option of four bowlers."

Dhoni also said that an injured Ishant Sharma would miss out on the fourth Test too.

No such trouble for England who retained their squad for the Manchester Test.

"All credit to the players for this performance," said James Anderson after the match.
