New Zealand will be happy with how they have turned up on Day 2 but Sri Lanka dominated most of the earlier sessions. Kamindu Mendis was the star with the bat as he continued to deliver for his team in Test matches. His partnership with Kusal Mendis is the highlight of this Test match so far but the fresh young seamer, William O'Rourke with his discipline line and length took a five wicket haul to make sure Sri Lanka do not run away early on in the match. Now, with the overcast conditions, the ball is doing a bit, Sri Lanka will be eager to come out and test the Kiwi batters. Stay tuned.

That's a quick turnaround from New Zealand and they have taken the remaining wickets inside four overs. The young, William O'Rourke leads his team as he ends with a five-fer. Sri Lanka didn't add much to the overnight score, Mendis was the only hope for them but Ajaz Patel and William O'Rourke took the remaining wickets and Sri Lanka have finished close to 300 in the first innings.
