Smriti Mandhana Shatters Multiple Records With 50 vs West Indies

India women's cricket team opener Smriti Mandhana smashed a half-century against West Indies in the second ODI match. She has now unlocked huge feat with that score.

Right-hand batter Harleen Deol's strong knock and bowlers collective effort took India women to victory over West Indies by 115 runs in the second ODI in Vadodra on Tuesday.

With the half-century against West Indies, Smriti Mandhana recorded the most ODI tons, most runs in international cricket (all formats), and most T20I runs in a calendar year by a woman cricketer.

She also became the first player in the history to score 7 50+ scores in a year thrice. She previously achieved the same feat in 2018 and 2022 too.

In 2024, Mandhana hammered four centuries and three half-centuries in ODIs, eight half-centuries in T20Is, and one ton in Test against South Africa.

With this, she also became the first woman cricketer in history to score 16 50+ scores in international cricket in a calendar year.
