IPL 2023: Virat Kohli-Gautam Gambhir Clash Sums Up Drama-filled LSG vs RCB Match

The IPL 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday will be remembered for ages as it led to a heated argument between Virat Kohli And Gautam Gambhir.

The tension began during Lucknow Super Giants' chase of 127 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. LSG pacer Naveen-ul Haq had an argument with RCB batter Virat Kohli.

The two went on arguing till the umpire intervened and separated the two players. This led to a tensed situation on the field during the match.

Seeing the two players in a war of words, senior LSG spinner Amit Mishra tried to intervene but couldn't calm the two down.

LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir and RCB batter Virat Kohli shook hands after the match but nobody thought that it was the calm before the storm.

During the customary handshake after the match, Virat and Naveen got into another heated argument which prompted the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Faf du Plessis and others to intervene.

Amid all this drama, Kyle Mayers and Virat Kohli were seen talking to each other. It was then Gambhir, who came and took Mayers away.

After that, Gambhir was seen yelling at Virat and LSG skipper KL Rahul tried to calm him down. However, the situation went out of hand and LSG mentor kept on yelling.

Both Virat and Gambhir came face to face and this led to a heated exchange. Players from both the teams had to intervene and calm the situation down.

BCCI decided to penalise Kohli, Gambhir, and Naveen for their on-field actions in the match. While Kohli and Gambhir were handed a penalty of 100% match fee, Naveen was given penalised his 50% match fee.
