Now the target is a stiff one but the wicket is good and it can be chased down. Ireland do have the batters to do so and with just the one spinner in the opposition, they will back themselves. Bangladesh on the other hand, need to make most of the new ball. Can they get early wickets? We will find out.

Ireland were not at their best with the new ball but the key for them was, they managed to pick wickets when needed. Andy McBrine and George Dockrell were excellent and so was Adair towards the end. Overall, Andy Balbirnie will be quite pleased with the performance.

That is a really good comeback from Ireland and they well and truly have the momentum as they head into the break! At one time, Bangladesh looked all set for over 300. Despite the loss of an early wicket, Tamim along with Najmul Hossain Shanto and Litton Das laid the platform. Tamim got to a half ton and was eyeing a ton but once he fell, wickets kept falling on regular basis. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan did get things back on track but yet again Bangladesh lost wickets in heaps and have fallen well short of the mark.
