Indira Gandhi Stadium, Vijayawada

Vijayawada famous for its port and headquarters of various offices surprisingly has a stadium too. Located in the eastern coast of India in Andhra Pradesh, it was formerly known as the Municipal Stadium. The stadium hosted its first ODI Match between India and West Indies on November 24, 2002. There have not been too many matches since then because the visiting players aren’t too happy with the facilities on and off the field. Although it has gained status, it is yet to host a test match here, but it has been regular on the domestic scene.
