Arnos Vale Ground, Arnos Vale, St Vincent

The Arnos Vale Ground is a cricket stadium situated in Kingstown, St Vincent. It is a multi-use ground and is also better known as The Playing Fields. The stadium hosted its first-ever international game on February 4th, 1981. The match was an ODI between West Indies and England and was a close encounter which the hosts won by two runs.

The Arnos Vale got the opportunity to host its first Test match in 1997 when West Indies played the touring Sri Lankan team. However, this ground has been sparingly used for this format. The names of the two ends of The Playing Fields are the Air Port End and Bequia End. The stadium holds the capacity to accommodate 18000 people and is mostly used for football and cricket matches.

This stadium last witnessed an international match way back in 2014 and has been mostly used for the domestic competitions. When all the cricketing action came to a halt due to Covid-19, the Arnos Vale Ground is at the centre stage for hosting the inaugural edition of the Vincy Premier League which involves international players of a Full Member team for the first time since the pandemic broke.
