... The Run Chase ...

!
Right then, England have to defend a total of 311 runs to win this series. For New Zealand, the onus is on their bowlers to chase this total and level this series 2-2. Can they do it? Let's find out soon. Chase coming up shortly...

New Zealand's bowling unit performed well. They did lose Tim Southee and Benjamin Lister early on in the game due to their injuries as they couldn't complete their quota of overs. Had they got Dawid Malan's wicket a bit earlier, they would have ended up with much less total to chase. Rachin Ravindra picked up a four-fer which included the wicket of Malan as well. He was certainly the pick of the bowlers. Matt Henry and Daryl Mitchell picked up two while Kyle Jamieson has one in his kitty.

So, England ended up with 311 runs on the board. They will be slightly disappointed with their effort and they could have achieved much more than this. It was Dawid Malan's knock which was the foremost knock of their innings. He scored a blistering 127 runs. Joe Root, Jos Buttler, and Liam Livingstone chipped in with their cameos but the other batters failed to score runs. Nonetheless, this is a good total here at Lords and they have a proficient bowling unit who can well defend this total.
