June 08, 2016 19:07
With Euro 2016 around the corner, here is a look at the youngsters who can take the tournament by storm

Marcus Rashford (18 Yrs, Forward) (England): Marcus Rashford enjoyed a phenomenal four months for the Manchester United, as he scored eight goals in 18 matches and then got selected in England's squad for this year's event in France. After scoring twice in his debut for the Red Devils, he also became the youngest player to score on his England debut against Australia in May. (All images courtesy: AFP)

Renato Sanches (18 Yrs, Midfielder) (Portugal): He is the youngest player to feature in Portugal's squad in any tournament since Cristiano Ronaldo's selection for the Euro 2004. Sanches came to the notice of big European giants through his performances for Benfica. He was finally snapped up by Bayern Munich and showed his flair in Portugal's recent friendly match against England.

Anthony Martial (20 Yrs, Forward/Winger) (France): Martial came to prominence after he scored a goal against Liverpool on his debut for Manchester United. Being called the next 'Henry', Martial will hope to perform well and help his team win the title for the third time.

Leroy Sane (20 Yrs, Winger) (Germany): After scoring eight goals and six assists in 33 matches for German club Schalke, Sane impressed one and all and that led to selection in the Germany's team for the Euro 2016. He is fast, his ball control is excellent and he could be the breakout star at this year's event.

Dele Alli (20 Yrs, Midfielder) (England): In his breakthrough season for Tottenham Hotspur, Alli scored 10 goals and nine assists and England would expect the same from him in his first international tournament. Alli, who was playing for MK Dons last year, was hardly known when he first signed for Tottenham. However, he quickly rose up the ranks and will be one of the key players for England in this year's tournament.

Kingsley Coman (19 Yrs, Midfielder) (France): If there were any doubts to the talent that Kingsley Coman possesses, they were all quickly washed away thanks to his performance for German giants Bayern Munich. Coman ended Bayern's season with 11 assists and six goals in the Bundesliga and Champions League combined. Turning 20 on June 13th, the French youngster has already won four league titles in three different countries and five other domestic trophies.

Breel Embolo (19 Yrs, Forward) (Switzerland): Next month could be the making of Swiss football's brightest young star. Speed, agility and power are three traits that any footballer would want and the young Swiss starlet has all three to boast. Embolo turned only 19 in February but has already scored 29 club goals in the last two seasons. He might not be a guaranteed starter for Switzerland but will surely be used as an impact substitute.
