It was a bad start from the beginning. Jayawardena (12) was the first to fall and was closely followed by Tillkaratne Dilshan (20) despite his four boundaries.

Kumar Sangakkara played a watchful knock but had support only from Upul Tharanga (57).

Wickets were taken at regular intervals and the main architect of the collapse was Aizaz Cheema.

Cheema managed to claim the wicket of Sangakkara (71) to put Sri Lanka in a state of misery from which recovery was close to impossible.

Saeed Ajmal was the other success for Pakistan with the ball. He claimed three wickets for his side.

Umar Gul too chipped in with his two wickets as Sri Lanka managed to set a paltry total of 188.

Suranga Lakmal gave his side a chance once the chase began. He removed Nasir Jamshed (18) and Younis Khan (2) in a hurry.
Zoom
Mohammad Hafeez (11) also fell early which brought Misbah-ul-Haq (L) and Umar Akmal to the crease.
Zoom
Misbah led the charge in the initial stages and kept the score ticking. His occasional boundaries were sublime as well. He completed his fifty off 78 balls.
Zoom
Though dropped on 46 at the other end, Akmal's innings was no less majestic. He struck seven boundaries and two sixes in his innings worth 77.
Zoom
Farveez Maharoof eventually sent Akmal back but with four required, the Pakistani skipper (L) eased his team to a win with 10.1 overs to spare.
