RCB vs MI will be a mid-table battle and victory is a must for both these high-profile teams. With four wins from nine games, RCB are sixth in the table. Mumbai, with five wins and as many defeats are fifth.
RCB are gradually finding their feet. With back-to-back wins, Bangalore are finally looking the side that made them tournament favourites. Virat Kohli's exceptional form and solid contributions from AB de Villiers and Shane Watson are bearing fruit.
Mumbai Indians have been hot and cold in IPL 2016. They suffered a horrible batting collapse in their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Visakhapatnam. MI were all out for 92 in conditions that favoured a lot of lateral movement.
RCB's bowling has been the team's weakest link. MI's batsmen should be able to find their feet on a Chinnaswamy wicket that should be full of runs. The lowest total in four matches in Bangalore has been 182.
