When one talks about the current state of West Indies cricket, it is all doom and gloom. In this volatile situation, the Under-19 team has given cricket in the region a new ray of hope. The boys have conquered uncertainty and controversy and have literally danced their way to their maiden Under-19 World Cup title by defeating India by five wickets in Dhaka on Sunday.
Following their magnificent victory, many West Indies stars congratulated them on Twitter and Instagram. The most notable among all was Darren Sammy, West Indies Twenty20 skipper who had helped the national team win the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka in 2012.
