Yuvraj Singh Smashes 'Guru' Sachin Tendulkar En Route to a Century

Yuvraj reached his 100 by slamming Sachin Tendulkar for a boundary. Tendulkar is leading the MCC side. ROW scored 293 for 7 in their 50 overs with Yuvraj last man out for 132. Tendulkar, of course, got his 'revenge' when he got Yuvraj's wicket.

Yuvraj came in at the fall of Tamim Iqbal's wicket when Rest of the World were struggling at 59/3. After openers Virender Sehwag (22) and Adam Gilchrist (29) had put on 54 runs, ROW lost three quick wickets. Yuvraj arrived to take charge.

India's Man of the Tournament in the 2011 ICC World Cup had a tough task ahead as Kevin Pietersen and Shahid Afridi fell cheaply to leave Rest precariously placed at 68/5. With Paul Collingwood, Yuvraj added 131 runs for the sixth wicket. Collingwood hit 40 and Peter Siddle scored 33 not out as Rest of the World reached 293/7.

Yuvraj took 115 balls to score his century. To slam his hero Tendulkar for a boundary and reach the three-figure mark was indeed special for Yuvraj. Yuvraj's ton included 7 boundaries and 3 sixes. The knock ensured that Rest of the World reached a total that their bowlers can defend.
