Charlotte Flair got pulled from WWE SmackDown's Women's Tag Team Championship match after an attack backstage left her not able to compete. General Manager Nick Aldis named Alexa Bliss as her replacement, putting a new partner alongside Tatum Paxley against Fatal Influence. Flair was originally scheduled to team with Paxley in a bid to win the titles, but Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Mia Yim disturbed the night with a backstage assault. The attack happened during an interview with Chelsea Green and Nikki Bella, and then the camera got forced away from their conversation, which was honestly the only way fans could see what was going on.

Alexa Bliss Steps In for the Women's Tag Team Title Match

Flair was supposed to team up with Paxley against Fatal Influence, with the Women's Tag Team Championships on the line. But this plan changed after the backstage attack, where Flair got sent into boxes and beaten until help arrived. Pretty wild.

With Flair unable to wrestle, Aldis had to look for a replacement for the match. Alexa Bliss got chosen to take her place. So Paxley had a different partner for the title bout, and that happened very quick.

Bliss brings a different wrestling style to the team than Flair, and because of this Fatal Influence got lesser time to prepare for the new pairing, which is not a small thing in a title match. The title match still had a new lineup. But if you really look at it, Flair's absence changed the challenge for both sides.

Jade Cargill's Feud With Charlotte Flair Continues

Cargill was among the three women involved in the backstage attack, along with B-Fab and Mia Yim. The assault also cut into Green and Bella's interview, and the broadcast went away to show what was happening with Flair.

So the attack gives one more chapter to the ongoing tension between Cargill and Flair, with the two expected to face each other soon.

Overall, Bliss now takes Flair's spot alongside Paxley, while Flair misses the championship match after the attack. The immediate focus is on the replacement pairing and what happens next between Cargill and Flair. Stay tuned for more updates.
