Antigua Recreation Ground is located on the island of Antigua. The ground received the test status in 1980 when it hosted a test match between England and West Indies. The recognition could not have received a better celebration than the local boy, Viv Richard's swashbuckling century. Antigua Recreation Ground is famous for its spectators at Double Decker stand for whom a cricket match is a long day of partying. Apart from cricket, Antigua Recreation Ground also hosts football matches. It has produced a number of great cricketers, including Andy Roberts and Richie Richardson. The Antigua Recreation Ground has also been the place noted for hosting Cricket carnival. At this particular venue, Brian Lara achieved the magnificent world-record feat of 375 runs and 400 runs not out against England on both occasions.
