Sachin Tendulkar has and continues to receive praises for his abilities as a cricketer. Words from Rahul Dravid though would only further lend credence to what the cricketing world has said in mesmerised daze over the years.
Mumbai: Legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid said on Thursday that he knew from the first time he saw Sachin Tendulkar bat that he was born to play cricket.
Speaking on the occasion of a book launch here, the recently retired batsman said that it had been an honour to share the dressing room with the man who has a hundred international centuries against his name. "When I saw sachin for the 1st time, I just knew he was born to bat. Sachin is born to play cricket. It has been an honour to have partnered Sachin everywhere and share dressing room," he said.
While his own record as a cricketer is mighty impressive, Dravid said that Sachin had inspired an entire generation of players. "Sachin has inspired a whole gen of players. Not only from Mumbai but from everywhere... small cities (as well)."
