Adelaide:
South Australia coach Darren Berry says Australia's Test team is being undermined by the pitches used in domestic cricket which overwhelmingly favour fast bowlers.
Berry said he and other state coaches would raise the issue with Cricket Australia this week.
He said the production of green-top pitches designed to produce outright results was a factor in Australia's current shortage of spin bowlers and a lack of depth in its test batting ranks.
Berry told reporters Cricket Australia needed to look into "the state for first class wickets across the country. Wickets all around the country are very, very bowler friendly."
