He is in a hurry to get a single towards the other end. But he takes off and the non-striker does not respond. Then the fielder fires a direct him from fine leg at the striker's end. It was referred upstairs and the third umpire saw two-three replays and gave it out in favour of the fielding team. Southee however, wants the second but is sent back halfway through. Too late. The fielder from mid-wicket comes fast and returns an accurate throw towards the keeper who dislodges the bails in a flash, beating Southee's dive.
