Federer will make his IPTL debut on Sunday as he is expected to pair up with Indian tennis queen Sania Mirza in mixed doubles event. Aces are the table toppers with 24 points, three ahead of second-ranked UAE Royals.
"Well what do I say. It will be a huge honour to share the court with Roger. Really looking forward to performing in front of the home fans," said Sania.
Federer, who first visited India in 2006 for a UNICEF program, has already shown enough excitement for his tennis debut in a country where he enjoys a huge following.
Excited to join the Indian Aces @iptl. They've been playing well so far but we've gotta keep it up!
