Shikhar Dhawan may have had a disappointing tour of South Africa but the India opener has a reason to smile after recently becoming a father to a baby boy. Dhawan is believed to have flown to Australia straight from South Africa to be with his wife for a couple of weeks. (Pace won't be a problem for India in NZ: Simon Doull)
According to DNA report, Dhawan was in South Africa when his wife Ayesha was wheeled into the labour room in a Melbourne hospital on December 26. His wife already has two daughters - Rhea and Aliyah - from her previous marriage. The left-hander was introduced to Ayesha by Harbhajan Singh on Facebook and it was apparently love at first sight. The two got married in late 2012. (MS Dhoni looks to improve personal form with bat in NZ series)
Ayesha's entry into his life has coincided with a successful phase in his career as he smashed the fastest century by a Test debutant against Australia in Mohali. He followed it up with a stunning performance in the ICC Champions Trophy in England and was then elevated to captain of Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad.
