The Indian summer can be unforgiving but Virat Kohli hardly breaks a sweat in being voted as Indian Premier League's fittest player - beating the likes of Chris Gayle and MS Dhoni by a distance.
According to a poll conducted by thehealthsite.com, a majority of readers chose the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper as the fittest player this summer. Kohli got 42 per cent of the votes while Gayle and Dhoni were joint second - getting 13% of the total votes.
And while Bangalore may not have made much of an impact on the cricket field - failing to make it to the playoffs, captain Kohli continues to be rated highly by cricket fans.
It was revealed earlier this month that Kohli was the most searched IPL cricketer on Google. He once again beat the likes of Dhoni, Bangalore teammates Gayle and Yuvraj Singh and Kings XI Punjab power-hitter Glenn Maxwell.
Considered deadly for his prodigal cricketing talent, Kohli has been a consistant performer on the cricket field. His connect with fans seems to be as consistent as his batting - a fact that has also made him the fifth most marketable athlete in the world!
According to UK-based magazine -SportsPro, Kohli is more marketable than Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi and three-time F1 champion Sebastian Vettel.
While he is known for his batting, Kohli has shown that he is a true-allrounder in the 'sport called life'.
