New Delhi:  Australian bowling legend Glenn McGrath congratulated compatriot Lisa Sthalekar after she hung up her boots on Monday, a day after winning the Women's World Cup.

"Congratulations to @sthalekar93 on an outstanding career. Perfect way to finish with another ODI World Cup win :))," tweeted McGrath on Monday.

The Pune-born all-rounder concluded her cricketing career after having played 125 One-Day Internationals (ODI) scoring 2728 runs and taking 146 wickets.

Australia won their sixth World Cup title beating the West Indies by 114 runs at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
