The FIFA have angered a lot of the top European clubs after they ruled that all players under the age of 23 will have to be released for the upcoming Olympics.
Clubs like Barcelona have been refusing to release their top players such as Lionel Messi for the Beijing games, as the Olympics does not appear on FIFA's official calendar. The Court of Arbitration for Sport will now have the final say on the matter.
The CAS had said last week that it will wait until FIFA's judgment before announcing its take on the decision. The body will now convene in the coming days with the Olympic football tournament due to get under way on August 7.
