Old Trafford:
Manchester United are the richest football club in the world, but it's an embarrassment of losses that they are suffering from on the field. The latest one came from Chelsea and it was their fifth of the season. Now unless something dramatic happens, an eight-league title in ten seasons seems very unlikely.
In the game against Chelsea, Manchester found themselves a goal down after just six minutes of play, scored by Melchoit with a header off a corner.
In the second half, the misery worsened when Chelsea scored their second goal in the 64th minute--Jimmy Floyd angled the ball home past Fabien Barthez into the far corner.
Eidur Gudjohnsen scored the final goal four minutes from time, when he ran through unopposed on the left to score from a narrow angle.
The win moves Chelsea to fifth in the premiership table. Liverpool consolidated their place at the top of the Premiership after a 1-0 win over Derby County--Micheal Owen scoring the only goal of the game.
Arsenal took the lead against Ipswich after just five minutes of play--Thierry Henry passed the ball to Fredrik Ljungberg, who tapped the ball past the Ipswich keeper.
Arsenal took the game away from Ipswich after Henry converted a penalty in the 56th minute. The gunners went on to win 2-0.
Leeds were held to a 0-0 draw by Fulham and the one point sees them in third place behind Arsenal and league leaders Liverpool. Chelsea move up to fifth place, with reigning champions Manchester United in seventh pace on 21 points.
