India vs Western Australia XI, 50-Over Cricket Warm-up Match Highlights: All-Round India Register Consecutive Wins
Courtesy of brilliant half-centuries from Rohit Sharma and Manish Pandey, coupled with brilliant spell of bowling form spinners helped India register their second consecutive win of the tour. The clinical Indian side thrashed the Western Australian XI team by 64 runs to warm-up nicely ahead of the ODI series, which commences from January12 . Catch all live updates here.

The Men in Blue warmed-up nicely for their limited-over campaign against Australia, with a comprehensive win over Western Australian XI.  side  The hosts must be particularly be disappointed as none of the players stood up and performed besides Jaron Morgan, who scored a fighting 50.
For India though, the bowlers got a good outing, particularly the spinners -- Ashwin, Jadeja and Axar, who picked up two wickets apiece. Rishi Dhawan and Barinder Sran were impressive too in the game and could well be one of the contenders for the first ODI game at the same venue on January 12. Catch all the highlights here.
19:15 hrs IST: It's all over!!! Indian team dismissed Western Australian XI for 185, thereby winning the game by 64 runs.  ÂÂ
18:56 hrs IST: Jaron Morgan is waging a lone battle for the Western Australia with a 64-ball half-century. Morgan came in after Inglis' dismissal and played himself in and reached the landmark with a single off a pull shot off Rishi Dhawan. His knock included four hits to the fence and one huge six. Western Australia XI were 180/7 after 47.1 overs.
18:50 hrs IST: India have taken control of the game as spinners ruled the roost at the WACA. Western Australia struggled in the chase right from the outset and and with three wickets in hand and still requiring 89 runs from 42 balls is a bit daunting. Western Australia XI were 161/7 after 41 overs.
18:42 hrs IST: Wicket!!! Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja has been superb once again. Jadeja picks up his second wicket as he had James Muirhead walking back after he hit one straight down Gurkeerat Singh's throat who was placed at long-off. Western Australia XI were 157/7 after 41 overs.
18:32 hrs IST: Wicket!!! Ravichandran Ashwin has bowled a brilliant spell here. He adds another wicket to his tally as he removes Western Australia's bowling star Drew Porter, who edged one to Dhoni for 10. Western Australia XI were 127/6 after 34 overs.
18:00 hrs IST: Dropped!!! Three catches being dropped by Indian fielders in the Western Australia innings. The latest one being by Umesh Yadav, who put down a simple catch of Jaron Morgan off Ravindra Jadeja. Western Australia XI were 110/5 after 29 overs.
17:54 hrs IST: WICKET!!! Axar Patel strikes in his first over itself as clean bowled Josh Inglis for 17. The Western Australian wicket-keeper misjudged the length of the ball as it crashes onto stumps to leave the hosts reeling. Western Australia XI were 99/5 after 26 overs.

17:50 hrs IST: WICKET!!! Ravindra Jadeja now gets his name into the wickets coloumn as he removes opener Jake Carder for 45. Carder looked to slog sweep the left-arm spinner, only to miss it. A loud appeal follows and the umpire raises the finger in affirmation. Western Australia XI were 96/4 after 25 overs.
17:32 hrs IST: WICKET!!! Rishi Dhawan now gets his first wicket in Indian colours as he packed off Nick Hobson for 4. Hobson tried to leave a pacey delivery from Dhawan, but failed to get his bat out of the way in time. MS Dhoni gleefully accepts a simple catch. Western Australia XI were 74/3 after 19 overs.
17:24 hrs IST: WICKET!!! Ravichandran Ashwin strikes in his third over as he removes D'Arcy Short for 10. Short, who was looking to play the slog sweep, played one back onto his stumps, much to the delight of the Indian fielders. Western Australia XI were 61/2 after 17 overs.
17:10 hrs IST: Ravichandran Ashwin introduced into the attack now. First up is a quicker one as Jake Carter looks to cut but misses. Carter then pulls one into the leg side for couple. A single from Carter brings hosts 50-run mark in the 13th over. Western Australia XI were 50/1 after  13 overs.
16:59 hrs IST: WICKET! Umesh Yadav gets the early breakthrough for India as he had William Bosisto edging one to wicketkeeper MS Dhoni. Bosisto made 13 from 34 balls. Western Australia XI were 39/1 after 10 overs.
16:50 hrs IST: Indian pacers haven't allowed the hosts to get off to a flier in the chase. Both Barinder Sran and Umesh Yadav have given very little away with Sran's economy being less than three-runs per over. Western Australia XI were 29/0 after 8 overs.

16:30 hrs IST: Rishi Dhawan now replaces Barinder Sran. Western Australia XI have a close shave as William Bosisto survives a run-out scare. Bosisto tapped one on the off-side and took off. An athletic Rishi chased the ball and released the ball immediately -- unfortunately for India the ball doesn't hit the stumps. Western Australia XI were 13/0 after 4 overs.  ÂÂ
16:25 hrs IST: Barinder Sran to open the bowling from the members end after Umesh Yadav conceded 2 runs from his opening over. Sran was impressive in the opening Twenty20 game where he picked up 2/24 from his four overs. Indian fans have flogged in at the WACA with lots of dhols. Western Australia were 8/0 after 2 overs.

15:30 hrs IST: NEWS ALERT! Mohammad Shami is OUT of Australian Tour with Grade II injury to his left hamstring. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named his replacement for the tour.
15:22 hrs IST: Rohit Sharma and Manish Pandey hit contrasting half-centuries to guide India to 249. MS Dhoni won the toss for the second time, and elected to bat first. However the visitors got off to a poor start losing Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in quick succession. However a 88-runs stand between Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane gave Indians some base to work with. Rohit in the process brought up his half-century off 64 balls.
The Mumbaiker however couldn't last long and was on his way back for 67. Manish Pandey, then joined the party with a quick-fire half-century to help India cross 200-run mark. For Western Australia XI, Drew Porter was the pick of the bowlers with 5/37.ÂÂ

15:10 hrs IST: Manish Pandey falls after a enterprising innings. Pandey gave himself a bit of room, looking to hit David Moody out of the park, only to hit it straight down Carder's throat for a run-a-ball 58.  India were 237/7 after 47 overs.
15:00 hrs IST: Manish Pandey becomes the second Indian to complete half-century in this game with an couple off Alex Bevilaqua. Pandey, who came in after the fall of Rohit, took his time in the middle and before opening up. But the hallmark of Pandey's innings has to be the fact that he kept the run flow going despite not hitting the boundary boards. India were 214/6 after 45 overs. Pandey is on 55, while Ravindra Jadeja is on 12.ÂÂ

14:45 hrs IST: With 10 overs to go, India would be targetting around 8 runs per over. Aggressive players like Manish Pandey and Ravindra Jadeja are in the middle. Pandey is looking to use the long handle to good effect in the final 10. India were 184/6 after 40 overs overs.
14:32 hrs IST: Mahendra Singh Dhoni disappoints once again as he got stumped for 15. The Indian skipper looked to hit Liam O'Conner only to miss it and was smartly stumped by Josh Inglis for 15. India were 171/6 after 37.3 overs overs.
14:25 hrs IST: Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Manish Pandey have combined well after two quick wickets. The duo may not have hit the boundary boards yet, but singles have ensured that runs continue to flow. But as we speak, Pandey gets his first boundary off William Bosisto. India were 171/5 after 37 overs.
14:10 hrs IST: There are dark clouds hovering over the ground and flood lights are on. India would love to have a rain break considering the situation they are in. India were 157/5 after 34 overs.
14:00 hrs IST: It's been slow going as far as India is concerned as both Manish Pandey and skipper MS Dhoni are looking to consolidate the Indian innings. With more than 20 overs to go, the duo are looking to give the visitors a reasonable target to defend. India were 135/5 after 30 overs.
13:50 hrs IST: Rohit Sharma soon follows Gurkeerat Singh Mann in the next over off James Muirhead. Rohit failed to capitalise on a short delivery from the leg-spinner as he edged it to Darcy Short. Rohit made 67 off 82 balls, which included six boundaries and three sixes. India were 132/5 after 28 overs.
13:45 hrs IST: Gurkeerat Singh Mann has failed to impress in his first opportunity in Indian colours. The Punjab all-rounder edged one to wicket-keeper Josh Inglis off the bowling of Drew Porter, who has now picked up his third wicket. India were 125/4 after 27 overs.

13:36 hrs IST: James Muirhead gets his first wicket of the match as he caslted Ajinkya Rahane for 41. Rahane looked to play for the turn but was beaten for pace as the ball crashed on to the off-stump. India were 107/3 after 22 overs.

13:28 hrs IST: Rohit Sharma brings up his half-century with a single off James Muirhead. The Indian opener, who started off slowly, picked up pace as he got used to the wicket and completed the landmark off 64 balls. He got an ideal partner in Rahane, who looked settled at No. 4 spot. The duo have given India ideal platform for late flourish.ÂÂ
13:17 hrs IST: Spin being introduced after the drinks break as James Muirhead. Rahane square drives for a single towards deep point. Rohit Sharma then goes down on his knees to smash it for a humongous six. India were 88/2 after 18 overs. Rohit is on 43, while Rahane is on 32.
13:10 hrs IST: Weather forecast is not good for the game as there seems to be a storm that is brewing up here in WACA. Ajinkya Rahane has been impressive in this innings as he is playing a chance-less innings so far. And as we speak, it's Rohit Sharma who has found the boundary boards twice to help India motor along. India were 80/2 after 17 overs. Rohit is on 36, while Rahane is on 31.
