The Indian cricket team arrived in Dhaka on Sunday (February 23) in search for its sixth Asia Cup title. Under stand-in skipper Virat Kohli, the young side looked determined to rise from its recent debacles abroad.
Coach Duncan Fletcher has been under the scanner since India suffered humiliating defeats in South Africa and New Zealand. Asia Cup will be a chance for him to prove he can mentor Team India to victories as well.
Spinners will have a huge role to play on wickets in Bangladesh.
R Ashwin is seen here getting off the team bus. He will lead India's spin attack.
Amit Mishra too can prove to be a handful. After commanding a high price in Indian Premier League auctions, his confidence will be on a high as well.
Several experts have urged the Indian cricket team to make reserves play. Varun Aaron's pace can be deadly although the tracks here are expected to be flat and slow.
There is no doubt however that in the ODI format, all-rounders are crucial. This is why Stuart Binny can be confident of playing in a few matches despite getting just one game in New Zealand recently.
In the end though, Team India's fortunes will be in the hands of Virat Kohli who told reporters that he is excited to lead the young team and that captaincy will be a personal test for him as well.
