0.5 A HUGE APPEAL FOR LBW BUT TURNED DOWN! Afghanistan review! OUT! THREE REDS! Afghanistan strike in the very first over and that is a top, top review. That looked close first up, looked out actually. The inswing totally did Mendis in there. That is the ideal strike for Afghanistan! This is a lovely delivery. He gets it to shape back in from around off and middle and that to late. Mendis looks to pull across the line but misses and gets hit on the pad. 3/1

1 OUT! LBW! That is plumb, absolutely plumb in front! What an over, two in two for Fazalhaq Farooqi and this is a gem of a delivery. Charith Asalanka would have been watching from inside, most of the balls were shaping in to the right hander. He would have thought, Fazalhaq Farooqi will take it away but he does the opposite. He bowls a big booming inswinger to the left hander. Comes back in late from well outside off and also skids through after landing on a length. Charith Asalanka fails to put bat to it and is hit on the pad. A huge appeal and the finger is raised. Dreadful start for the Lankans. 3/2

7.2 OUT! TAKEN! This time Karim Janat hangs on and Afghanistan manage to break the stand which was going so well. They are back on top! Danushka Gunathilaka can feel a little unlucky here. He had hit that well but straight to the only man outside the ring on the off side. He brings out the reverse sweep. Mujeeb Ur Rahman bowls it around leg. Danushka Gunathilaka drags it from there but hits it uppishly towards Janat at sweeper cover who takes an easy catch. 49/4

12.2 RUN OUT! Oh, what has happened here? This one lands fuller and on middle, Chamika Karunaratne flicks it towards the leg side and takes one. There is a slight misfield and the batters decide to take another run. Mohammad Nabi makes a direct hit and Rajapaksa has sold himself down the river here. That was a suicide from Rajapaksa. 69/7

9.2 OUT! TAKEN! That is such a poor stroke at this moment of the game! Over 10 overs to go, the team is already 4 down, not sure if that was a good idea. He got away looking to play a slog sweep in the last over but this time falls. It is the one which spins away by Mujeeb. It is on middle, Wanindu Hasaranga looks to go over mid-wicket with the slog sweep again but this goes off the top edge towards mid off. Mohammad Nabi runs in and takes a good catch. 10.1 OUT! TAKEN! The break does the trick for Afghanistan! Mohammad Nabi gets his first wicket. He bowls this quicker, shorter and around off, Dasun Shanaka stays there and looks to guide it away to the off side, but gets a thin outside edge. The keeper, Rahmanullah Gurbaz takes a brilliant catch behind the stumps moving to his right. Sri Lanka in huge, huge trouble now. 64/6

19.4 OUT! TIMBER! Fazalhaq Farooqi gets his third wicket and that is it for the Sri Lankan innings. He comes 'round the wicket and serves this on a yorker length, outside off, Chamika Karunaratne stays there and tries to go big on the off side, but only manages and inside edge and the ball goes onto rattle the stumps. A good effort from Karunaratne to take Sri Lanka past the 100-run mark. Sri Lanka finishes on 105 runs. 105/10

12.3 RUN OUT! Another miscommunication! Fuller one around off, Chamika drives it towards cover and calls for one.The fielder throws it towards the keeper and he does the rest. The decision is taken upstairs and replay shows that he was outside the crease. Another one bites the dust and Sri Lanka are eight down now! 69/8

15 OUT! CAUGHT!  Another one bites the dust! Leg cutter here, fuller in length, Matheesha Pathirana looks for the slog sweep but miscues it up in the air and a simple catch for Najibullah Zadran at point. Matheesha Pathirana makes his way back into the dressing room and Sri Lanka are now 9 down. 75/9

6.1 OUT! Wanindu Hasaranga strikes just after the Powerplay. Rahmanullah Gurbaz tries to finish things off early, but throws his wicket away in the process. Wanindu Hasaranga bowls the googly here, slower through the air and on middle. turning in sharply, Rahmanullah Gurbaz skips down the track to for a big heave over mid-wicket, but plays down the wrong line and did not pick the googly at all. The ball goes through and shatters the stumps. Afghanistan lose their first, but Gurbaz has done his job. 83/1

9.2 RUN OUT! Unlucky! Fuller and on off, Hazratullah Zazai drills it straight down the ground. The bowler attempts a diving stop and gets his hands to it. The ball deflects through his hands and hits the stumps at the non striker's end. Replay shows that the Ibrahim Zadran was outside his crease and he has to walk away.
