On a length wide of off, Shubman Gill dances down the track and looks to just place this wide of mid off to his right but Gill ends up chipping this aerially and in reach of the Aussie skipper. Mitchell Marsh, at mid off, takes a few strides to his right, puts in a dive and catches this nice and clean. Shubman Gill departs. 17/1

6.5 OUT! LBW! Virat Kohli departs for another duck. The lack of playing time is quite evident in Kohli's form so far but this was an absolute peach from Xavier Bartlett. On a length around middle and off, nipping back into the batter. Virat Kohli looks for the front foot flick but gets beaten due to the ball jagging back in. The ball thuds onto Kohli's front pad and a confident appeal from the Aussies was enough for the umpire to raise his finger. Virat Kohli has a long discussion with Rohit Sharma at the other end about sending this upstairs but walks without taking that option. 32.4 OUT! DRAGGED ON! Adam Zampa fights back and breaks a budding stand! Zampa loops it up, full and outside off, Shreyas Iyer winds up and swings to go down the ground. The ball does not turn as much as Iyer expected it to, and he swings a bit outside the line. The ball catches the inside edge and crashes back into the stumps. 160/4

44.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Googly, around off, going further away from the batter. Axar looks to loft this over Starc at the long off fence but an excellent bit of game awareness from Starc in the field gets the better of Axar here. The ball was destined to sail over the fence behind but Mitchell Starc, in the long off region, grabs it. His momentum takes him over the fence but he is aware enough to flick the ball back inside the playing area before stepping outside the fence. 36.2 OUT! TIMBER! For the second time in the game, Adam Zampa hits back with a wicket after conceding a boundary. First Shreyas Iyer and now KL Rahul. This is pushed through by Zampa and the length is pulled back. KL Rahul presses on the back foot and attempts the pull but the ball skids through and sneaks under the blade to hit the top of the off stump. 174/5

41.5 OUT! CAUGHT! A soft dismissal against the run of play as Washington Sundar finds Josh Hazlewood in the shade at the deep mid-wicket fence. Xavier Bartlett bowls this full and down the leg, Washington Sundar looks to flick this towards deep on the leg side but connects much better than he would have expected and the ball travels straight into the safe custody of Josh Hazlewood at the deep mid-wicket fence. India lose their 6th for 213 on board. 213/6

45 OUT! STUMPED! Zampa saw the shimmy from Nitish Kumar Reddy before releasing the ball from his hands and dragged his length back around off. The ball spun away from the batter and Nitish Kumar Reddy was left in no man's land out of his crease. Alex Carey gathers this behind the stumps and does the rest by removing the bails in a flash. 226/8

49.5 OUT! BOWLED! The change in length does the trick for Mitchell Starc! Starc pulls the length back and attacks the stumps. Arshdeep Singh once again backs away, exposing all three stumps. He swings but to no avail as the ball sneaks past the outside edge and hits the top of the middle stump. End of a handy 37-run stand for India. 263/9

7.2 OUT! EDGED AND GONE! End of a scratchy stay for Mitchell Marsh! On a good length, going away from the right-hander, Marsh advances down the track and swings to go back over the bowler's head. Swings a bit too hard and loses his shape in the process. The ball leaves him with the angle to catch the outside edge and the keeper, KL Rahul takes the simplest of catches. 30/1

Head looks to flick this around the mid-wicket region but closes the bat face early and the ball takes a leading edge. The white leather hangs over Virat Kohli at mid off. 36 OUT! CAUGHT! Siraj doesn't drop Short for the second time and grabs hold of it in front of the fence at deep square leg. Bumper from Rana around middle and off. Matthew Short goes for the pull but doesn't get as good a connection as he was expecting and hits this straight to Mohammed Siraj at the deep square leg fence for his dismissal. Short was initially looking to keep it down but he decided to take on Siraj at the fence but failed to clear him. 187/5

21.4 OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Axar Patel breaks through for India! Axar gives it a bit of air, on a nagging length, on middle and leg. Matt Renshaw skips down the track and stays leg side of the ball to go inside out. The ball drifts away from him and Renshaw is beaten on the outside edge. The ball goes through to crash into the stumps. The 55-run stand is broken. Australia are 109/3, needing 156 more runs. 109/3

The bat turns a bit in Mitchell's hand and he gets it only as far as long on, where Arshdeep Singh takes a simple catch. A quickfire 36 off 23 from Owen. Australia are 246/6, needing 19 more runs. 44.3 OUT! CAUGHT! On a length, angling away from the batter. Xavier Bartlett stands still and looks to loft this over mid off. Gets it off the bottom of his bat and hangs it over Shubman Gill at mid off. Gill backtracks and takes a good catch around the circle. Australia still need 10 and they have got 3 wickets in hand. Easy pathway for the Aussies from here despite this wicket. 255/7
