George Henry Dockrell Profile

A talented left arm spinner, George Dockrell is an immense potential for the Irish national side whose first telling contribution came during the national side's 2010 ICC World Twenty20 campaign where he rattled the West Indies taking 3-16.

Following the World Twenty20, Ireland was scheduled to play a big match against Australia but Dockrell was unable to feature since he had to sit for his school exams. It was not long after this that he was snapped up by English county side Somerset who offered him a lucrative two-year contract.

Dockrell is a prodigy of the Leicester Cricket Club, Dublin and has played age-group cricket for Ireland as well. He took 6/19 in the Under-19 World Cup qualifier against Hong Kong which helped his team to victory. On his full international T20I debut, he took two wickets and conceded just eleven runs against a respectable Afghanistan side.
