Patrick Browne is a talented wicket-keeper batsman from West Indies who rose quickly through the junior ranks to make a name for himself in West Indies cricket. His performances at the under-19 level were far more than impressive and soon he was drafted in the Barbados team. Some consistent scores with the bat in the first-class and West Indies A matches earned Browne at call in the national squad for the 2007-08 South Africa tour. He made his one-day debut against the Proteas as a specialist batsman by scoring 35 runs coming at number three.
