Shakib Al Hasan has been appointed stand-in skipper for the first one-day international against Pakistan on April 17 in absence of regular captain Mashrafe Mortaza, who is serving a one-match ban.
Mortaza was handed the ban and fined 40 per cent of his match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate during the ICC World Cup 2015 quarter-final against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on March 19. It was his second such incident after he was earlier fined for the same offence against England on March 9. (Hope India Tour Bangladesh: Shakib)
Shakib is currently in India preparing for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, starting April 8. The Kolkata Knight Riders' star all-rounder will return to Bangladesh before the start of the Pakistan series.
The two teams will play three ODIs, one Twenty20 and two Tests.
