Sachin Tendulkar Votes, Day to be Responsible, he Says
Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali voted in the Maharashtra state assembly elections at Bandra.

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar joined fellow citizens on Wednesday to cast his vote in the Maharashtra state assembly elections. The former batsman - who is also a Member of Parliament - had urged people to exercise their political right, a day before the elections.

While polling across the state was brisk in the early hours of Wednesday, Tendulkar too joined fellow Mumbaikars to cast his vote. Known to fulfil his obligations as a citizen, the 41-year-old has openly advocated the need for people to come out and take part in democratic process. He and wife Anjali voted in Bandra.
Earlier this year, Bharat Ratna Tendulkar had encouraged citizens to cast their votes during the Lok Sabha elections. "Have cast my vote, wonderful start to my birthday," he had tweeted on April 24. (Read)
