The BCCI will felicitate former India captain Rahul Dravid today for his contribution to the Indian cricket during his 16-year long career.
The felicitation ceremony will start at 7:30 PM at the Taj Lands End Hotel, Mumbai.
It will be attended by the Indian cricket team, former India captains and cricketers, members of the Dravid family, and current and former office-bearers of the BCCI.
Dravid had announced his retirement from international cricket on March 9th. He had already retired from one-day and Twenty20 cricket after the tour of England.
In his career spanning over 16 years, Dravid had played 164 Tests to become the second highest run getter in Test history with 13,288 runs, behind only Sachin Tendulkar who has 15,470 runs.
In One-Day Internationals, he has aggregated 10,889 runs from 344 games. He is one of the 10 players in the world and one of three Indians to be in the coveted club of 10,000 runs. He reached the mark way back in February 2007, having just played nine matches in 2009 and last year.
