Right then. That is all we have from this game. Quetta bows out with a loss and Karachi Kings make their way into the playoffs. The second match of the day between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United will get underway shortly. So, switch tabs and catch all the action from that game. Until then, cheers and goodbye!
Imad Wasim, the captain of Karachi Kings, says that the batters played very well. Credits Danish especially as without him the score was not possible. Further mentions that Noor bowled brilliantly and Abbas and Ilyas controlled the innings well in the middle overs. Finally says that they have big gun players like Guptill, Babar, and Sharjeel and hopefully they will deliver.
DANISH AZIZ IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says that he got going at the end and he tried to post the total above 170. Adds that he tried to slog a few and it was important for the team to get a victory. States that he is extremely pleased with his contribution.
Sarfaraz Ahmed, the skipper of Quetta Gladiators, says that they played up well in the end, but didn't manage to do well in the middle overs as they lost wickets. He further states that though they are out of the competition, they will look to come back stronger in the next PSL.
The bowlers really started well for Karachi Kings and didn't leak runs inside the Powerplay. Mohammad Ilyas was introduced into the attack and got the wicket of Ayub. Arshad Iqbal too got rid of Wealtherald. The bowlers performed brilliantly in the middle overs as they kept picking wickets, though they were sent packing on a few occasions. Iqbal continued with his short lengths and got the wicket of the dangerous Azam Khan in the process. Ilyas too bowled brilliantly and picked up a total of three wickets. Noor Ahmed though didn't get a wicket to his name, did well economically, and didn't allow the runs to come. Overall, a good performance by the bowlers.
For Karachi Kings, Jake Weatherald and Saim Ayub started their innings well. Ayub knocked a couple of sixes out of the park before getting out. Wealtherald too departed after exposing his stumps. Usman Khan and Azam Khan tried hard to battle out the middle overs but didn't manage to and both the batsman got out looking to slog big. Sarfaraz Khan and Hassan Khan built a partnership in between, but the latter unfortunately got run out. Quetta Gladiators was out of the competition but they needed a win for their pride and top stop Karachi Kings to get a victory but didn't manage to do so.
A dominating victory for Karachi Kings and they needed a win to make the playoffs and they have done just that. Imad Wasim will be a happy skipper with this display and also that they delivered when they needed to.

A length ball, outside off, Ahmed slams this one to the deep cover region and comes back for the second and brings up his fifty too, but it will not matter as KARACHI KINGS WIN BY 14 RUNS.

DROPPED! Amir is the culprit. A length ball, around off, this is heaved, high up in the air, next to Amir. He moves that side and very lazily attempts to take this one but drops it. A single.

Mohammad Amir To Jack Wildermuth
NOT OUT! The review saves Jack Wildermuth! A good length delivery around leg and middle, Jack swings hard at this but only connects with the air around him and gets hit on the pads. An appeal for LBW and the umpire raises his finger. Wildermuth goes for the review. Ultra Edge shows no bat and Ball Tracker shows that this was pitching outside leg.

Mohammad Amir To Sarfaraz Ahmed OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! Unlucky for Quetta but Khan has to go back. What an unfortunate way to get out here. A length ball around off, Sarfaraz Ahmed slams this one back towards Amir, and he gets his fingertips on this as the ball goes onto hit the stumps at the other end. Hassan Khan was way out of the crease and the umpire signals this as out.
