10.3 OUT! TAKEN! Wanindu Hasaranga comes into the attack and strikes right away. This is not a wicket-taking delivery, but he won't mind that. He drops it very short and around middle. Rehan Ahmed rocks back to pull it away. He connects well, but unfortunately, cannot keep it down and hits it straight to short mid-wicket, where Jeffrey Vandersay takes a sharp catch with the ball coming very quickly to him. Ahmed walks back for 24 off 37, and England lose both their openers now. 40/2

6.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Ben Duckett has thrown it away. Just a regulation delivery from Dhananjaya de Silva, tossed up on middle and leg. Duckett sits down for the reverse sweep again but catches it off the toe end of the bat. The ball goes straight to Dunith Wellalage, who is standing in front of the point region and he makes no mistake. Duckett walks back for just 7 (17) and the first over of spin has brought the breakthrough for Sri Lanka. 19/1

31.1 OUT! IN THE AIR... TAKEN! This is a massive breakthrough for Sri Lanka and the decision to bring Vandersay back into the attack has worked for the side. This is short, on off and middle. The ball, after pitching, skids a bit low. Jacob opens his stance and pulls it, aerially, but fails to get underneath the delivery. It flies flat to deep mid-wicket, where Janith Liyanage times his leap well and takes a very good catch. Jacob Bethell departs after scoring a hefty 65 runs off 72 balls. 166/3

9.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Straight to the man in the deep and Jamie Overton gets another big wicket. Overton bangs it in short over middle. Pathum Nissanka leans back to take on the pull but gets it off the toe end of the blade. The ball travels flat and towards deep mid-wicket, where Tom Banton, who is fielding in place of Joe Root, takes a fine low catch. Nissanka departs for 50 off just 25 balls but Sri Lanka are now 3 down for 94. 94/3

5.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Will Jacks strikes on his first ball! Jacks begins around the wicket to the left-hander and starts with a long hop outside off. Kamil Mishara backs away to cut but slices it towards backward point. Rehan Ahmed takes a simple catch over his head and Mishara has to depart for 22 (17). He will be gutted with that dismissal. 48/1

7.4 OUT! CAUGHT! 'Go hard or go home' - Kusal Mendis has employed that mantra and unfortunately, he has to walk back after a blistering start. Full and around off, Mendis looks to smash it over mid off but can't get under it. Mendis ends up going through with the shot and hammers it flat to mid off. Harry Brook takes a sharp catch to his right and Mendis departs for 20 (9). Sri Lanka are 85/2 after 7.5 overs and Jamie Overton is absolutely pumped with the wicket. 85/2

46.4 OUT! BOWLED'EM! Sam Curran has hammered the last nail in the coffin. He bowls a beautiful yorker, on leg and middle. Pavan Rathnayake shuffles across the stumps and looks to flick it, but his shot is nowhere near the delivery. The ball manages to beat the inside edge of the willow, nutmeg the batter, and crash into the bottom of the stumps. Rathnayake departs after a valiant 121. England beat Sri Lanka by 53 runs and have won the ODI series 2-1. 304/10

| Charith Asalanka C | 13 | 16 | 1 | 0 | 81.25 |

14.5 OUT! CAUGHT! That is a soft dismissal for the Sri Lankan skipper and he will be disappointed with himself. Adil Rashid drags the length short and gets the ball to turn in from outside off. Charith Asalanka rocks back to pull but ends up just slicing it to short mid-wicket. Harry Brook takes a simple catch and the hosts are now 131/4. 131/4

| Janith Liyanage | 22 | 36 | 0 | 0 | 61.11 |
|
25.5 OUT! LIYANAGE IS RUN OUT! This is just what Sri Lanka didn't want. The miscommunication between the two batters has led to the fall of the fifth wicket. This is short of a length, just outside off, Janith Liyanage hangs back and pushes it with soft hands in front off the cover and calls for the single. Rathnayake at the non-striker's end sets off as well, but rejects the call late. By that time, Janith is halfway down the track and Harry Brook in the cover region, has all the time to throw it to Buttler and he dislodges the bails off the stumps. 174/5

31.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Straight to Harry Brook again and he picks up his third catch of the game, to go with a run out as well. Will Jacks floats the ball up on a length and angles it across the off stump from around the wicket. Dhananjaya de Silva swivels onto the back foot and looks to pull but clofts it straight to short mid-wicket where Brook takes another sharp catch. Sri Lanka are now 202/6 as the golden arm of Jacks strikes again. 202/6

| Dunith Wellalage | 22 | 24 | 1 | 1 | 91.66 |
|
40 OUT! IN THE AIR... TAKEN! Liam Dawson gets his name written on the wicket list and breaks a sturdy partnership. He bowls it fuller, around the sixth stump. Dunith Wellalage lunges and looks to swing across the line, but ends up slicing it high up towards the point region. There are two fielders near the catching zone, but Will Jacks moves a bit to his left and shouts 'MINE' before pouching the catch safely into his hands. Dunith Wellalage has to depart, scoring 22 off 24 and Sri Lanka still need 106 runs off the last 10 overs. 252/7

| Wanindu Hasaranga | 9 | 5 | 2 | 0 | 180 |

41.2 OUT! TAKEN! Another one bites the dust and this time, Ben Duckett makes no mistake. Adil Rashid wins the battle of the wrist spinners as well. This is tossed up on off, turning away. Wanindu Hasaranga backs away and looks to go for that favored inside-out shot over covers but doesn't time it all that well. Duckett comes charging in from deep cover and pouches it with both hands. 264/8

| Jeffrey Vandersay | 14 | 15 | 1 | 0 | 93.33 |
|
45.4 OUT! CAUGHT! England are just one wicket away from winning the series, but the danger man is still out there on the other side of the pitch. This is fuller, just outside off, turns it away from the right-hander. Jeffrey Vandersay shimmies down the track and tries to hoist it downtown, but gets the connection from the upper part of his bat. The ball balloons toward the long off region. Sam Curran runs from the boundary line and pouches the catch safely. Sri Lanka are 298 for 9 now. 298/9
