Two fielders converge, from point and cover, almost leading to a miscommunication. There is absolutely no calling but eventually, the fielder from cover backs off and Jaker Ali takes a simple catch. Charith Asalanka gets half forward and plays for the initial line, but the ball lands and just turns away. It's enough to beat the outside edge and rattle the off pole. Hits the toe end and lobs gently towards mid off. Tanzim Hasan Sakib nearly makes a mess of it, as he initially runs back, expecting the ball to lob over. 0.1 OUT! LBW! What a start for Sri Lanka! 'Slinga' Thushara has delivered first ball. Full and straight, swinging in, Parvez Hossain Emon looks to defend but completely plays down the wrong line. The ball pitches, goes past his bat and hits him on the right pad. The umpire takes little time to raise his finger on the LBW appeal and Sri Lanka are ecstatic. The two batters have a chat and then Parvez signals for the review. The crowd roars when it sees a flat line on the UltraEdge, when the ball is near the bat, because only that mattered. Otherwise, it looked dead plumb. Sure enough, Ball Tracking returns the result in favour of the Lankans, with the ball projected to hit the outer half of leg stump. Litton Das sits down and sweeps it flat and in the air to deep square leg. Targets the bigger boundary but does not have enough timing on that for that. The ball dips down in front of Kusal Perera.
