Like the previous ball, once again, Zaman charges out. But this time, Nabi fires it on the pads, meaning that there is no room to swing. Fakhar goes through with the shot, but because of the lack of room, his intended shot towards mid-wicket goes towards wide long on. Straight to Ibrahim Zadran. 11.1 OUT! CAUGHT! A wicket for Fareed now. A slower ball, on a length, around off, Hasan Nawaz goes for the big booming drive down the ground, but like his predecessors, hits it way too early. Skews it off the inner half of the bat and the ball goes towards long on instead, where Sediqullah Atal initially misjudges it but recovers well to take it behind his head. Fareed Ahmad bowls this one a bit shorter and into the batter, Faheem Ashraf hangs back and pulls it high towards deep square leg but the ball lands just inside the ropes. The fielder from deep mid-wicket runs around and palms it back in and the on-rushing fielder from long leg mops things up and throws it at the keeper's end. The batters complete two runs and try to sneak in the third run. Rahmanullah Gurbaz does well to collect the high ball and throws it back to the bowler who whips off the bails with Ashraf nowhere to be seen. Pakistan finish with 182/7 on the board! 182/7

8 OUT! BOWLED! Nawaz is off running! Full and straight, Rahmanullah Gurbaz gets far too across his stumps and goes for the sweep. Misses it totally and the furniture is disturbed. He admonishes himself, as he walks off furiously, but that is the way he plays. He could have got out multiple times earlier on, but has laid down a strong base with 38 (27). The 51-run stand is broken and Afghanistan are 68/2, needing another 115 from 72 balls. 68/2

3 OUT! BOWLED! What a corker of a delivery. Not out LBW on the previous ball? No problem. I shall take the pads out of the way, says Shaheen. Actually, he does not. He does go for the stumps, targetting a perfect yorker but it lands just short of the pads and swings in. Hits the front pad but so sheer is the pace that it deflects onto the stumps! 12.1 OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Another one bites the dust and Afghanistan are in a spot of bother now! Much fuller in length, outside off, Darwish Rasooli looks to loft it but gets it off the toe end of his bat. The ball goes straight back towards Sufiyan Muqeem who takes an excellent catch near his head. 93/5

14.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Straight to the man in the deep and Mohammad Nabi cannot believe it! Sufiyan Muqeem tosses the ball up, full and outside off, inviting the big shot. Nabi stays put and just chips the ball with minimal followthrough. The timing is sweet but the elevation just isn't there. The ball flies down to long off where Faheem Ashraf takes a well-judged catch just inside the ropes. Nabi departs for 3 (6) and Afghanistan are going down in a hurry here. 97/7

On a length, outside off, and slower too. Rashid Khan winds up for a big slog sweep, but is early with the swing of his bat. The ball arrives late to take the toe end of his willow. Hasan Nawaz settles near the fence at deep sqaure leg and takes a good catch to his left. 141/8

18.1 OUT! TIMBER! Bullseye from Shaheen Afridi and he picks up his second wicket of the game. Comes from around the wicket and hones in at the stumps. This is a bit fuller and slower too, angling back in. Mujeeb Ur Rahman backs away and exposes the stumps but fails to get bat on ball and sees the stumps behind him get shattered.
