India-Pakistan T20 Scenario: What Happens If Pakistan Forfeits?
If Pakistan forfeits its T20 World Cup match against India, India will be awarded two points, while Pakistan's net run rate will take a significant hit-potentially damaging its qualification chances for the Super 6 stage. India has maintained it will travel to Colombo and follow the schedule as planned. However, if India does not travel, the match would be deemed cancelled and both teams would receive one point each. Any replacement scenario would arise only if Pakistan is removed from the tournament altogether.
