The ball just shoots iup off the length and Tom Latham is completely taken by surprise. Latham tries to fend it off the back foot but the ball pops up off the shouler of the bat towards backward point. Harry Tector takes a simple catch and Ireland have a much-needed breakthrough. Henry Nicholls gets low and looks to slog it away but completely misses the ball and the death rattle is heard as the ball crashes into off stump. Nicholls will be a bit disappointed to have missed out on a ton but Young has the breakthrough the Irish so desperately needed. 296/5

47.4 OUT! TAKEN! Really well held by Curtis Campher and Glenn Phillips departs just shy of his fifty! Josh Little deliver it on a length and wide outside off, inside the tramline. Phillips reaches out and tries to slash it over the point fence. Campher charges in from the backward point fence and holds onto it. Phillips departs after a fiery knock and Little does get a wicket. 341/6

34.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Matt Henry has the last laugh as he gits rid of the dangerous Paul Stirling! This is banged in short again and over off but Henry takes some pace off the ball. Stirling fetches it and tries to muscle it over the mid-wikcet fence but his feet don't move and Stirling ends up hitting it down the throat of the man in the deep. Glenn Phillips takes an assured catch and Stirling departs after a fantatsic innings, gets a huge round of applause from the crowd too. 120 needed now off 92 balls. 2 OUT! LBW! Matt Henry strikes with the new ball again and Andy Balbirnie's torrid run with the bat in this series continues. Matt Henry goes full on middle. It swing into Andy Balbirnie as he looks to flick it away. He misses and the ball hits his pads. The Kiwi players appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Andy Balbirnie knows this is dead plumb and walks back without even thinking of a review. 7/1

Andy McBrine looked so comfortable in the middle throughout his innings but departs now and Ireland lose their second. Henry goes a bit fuller on middle. Andy McBrine looks to clip it towards the leg side but does so a bit early. The ball takes the leading edge of his blade and goes towards backward point. 43.3 OUT! BOWLED! Mitchell Santner strikes and gets rid of Harry Tector here! Big, big wicket this and Mitchell Santner with his clever bowling has brought Kiwis back in this game. Harry Tector looks to go for that reverse-hit. Mitchell Santner spots it and fires it on middle and leg. Tector fails to connect and the ball knocks over the stumps. Gareth Delany rocks back before trying to fetch it and looks to slap it over covers. The ball is just a bit too wide to get any sort of control on the shot and Delany doesn't get enough elevation. Bowls it on a hard length and on off stump, Curtis Campher in a moment of madness tries to have a big swipe across the line. 49.4 OUT! RUN OUT! Craig Young departs and the game just keeps on turning on its head. This is slower from Blair Tickner and bowled into the pitch. Young looks to launch it over long on but mistimes it badly. The ball is skied around the vacant mid on region. The ball falls safely as the batters push for two. Martin Guptill gets across from mid off and somehow manages to throw it towards the keeper. Tom Latham fetches the wide throw and whips off the bails. The replays show that Young was short depsite the dive and New Zealand are one wicket away from victory. 357/9
