8 OUT! CAUGHT! Midas does it again for West Indies! This guy just has a knack of picking up wickets. Gets his second scalp in as many overs and the 79-run stand has been broken. A slower ball, outside off, short in length, Jamie Smith picks the length in a trice and pulls it extremely hard and well. But unfortunately for him, he picks the only man in the deep in front of square on the leg side and Sherfane Rutherford makes no mistake! Smith departs for 38 (20) and England are 95/2 after 8 overs. 95/2

1.3 OUT! CAUGHT! There goes the first one! Well, if his delivery to dismiss Shreyas Iyer in the 2025 IPL final was a great one, this is none less. Slower delivery, rolling his fingers over the ball, landing it on a fuller length on middle, Ben Duckett looks to flick but is early into the shot. Gets a leading edge which goes high in the air. Three fielders converge towards the ball but eventually, the keeper, Shai Hope, calls for it and takes the catch. Duckett departs for 1 (4) and England are 16/1 after 1.3 overs! 16/1

| Jos Buttler Wk | 96 | 59 | 6 | 4 | 162.71 |

18.4 OUT! LBW! Buttler has reviewed it but one feels he knows it is in vain. After a series of slow balls, Alzarri has been mixing it up nicely in this over. Bowls a quick delivery, landing it on a length outside off and makes it to skid through. Buttler is not quite prepared for the pacy delivery and is late to get his bat down to try and nudge the ball fine, but misses it and wears it on his pads. A confident Alzarri appeals and the umpire raises his finger in a flash, much to the collective groans from the whole of Durham, one feels. The review does not halp Buttler as Ball Tracking returns two reds, with the hitting projected to be umpire's call, meaning the decision will stay. So the second T20I century will have to wait as Jos Buttler departs for a fantastic 96 (59). The 60-run stand is broken and England are 176/5 after 18.4 overs. 176/5

| Harry Brook C | 6 | 5 | 1 | 0 | 120 |

9.2 OUT! BOWLED! Well, Hosein may not be playing here but spin is still Brook's achilles heel! A bit of an overambitious shot. Chase spots Brook backing down the leg side and slows down the pace of the ball, giving it plenty of air, from around the wicket, around leg stump. Brook is a long way from the stumps, in an attempt to play the inside-out shot over cover but is beaten by the lack of pace. The ball goes on with the angle and hits the stumps. That's a giveaway from Brook but that's the way this generation prefers to play. Brook departs for 6 (5) and from 95/1, England are 104/3. 104/3

11.4 OUT! LBW! Appeal and given! Tom Banton reviews it straightaway! Length ball on middle, angled into the right hander, Tom Banton looks to flick it but is beaten by pace a bit as the ball skidded off the surface and thrashed into Tom Banton's pads. Here's the UltraEdge on screen. Nothing on UltraEdge as the ball goes past the bat. Ball Tracking coming up. Pitching outside off, Impact in line, Umpire's call on hitting the stumps. The on field call stays and Banton has to go. Andre Russell has his first! 116/4

20 OUT! JACKS IS RUN OUT! A low full toss, around off, Jacks heaves it towards long on. He is always searching for two and Bethell responds pretty well. However, the fielder at long on, Andre Russell, goes for the tougher option and throws the ball to the keeper, Shai Hope. He collects and whips the bails off, celebrating immediately,. The run out appeal is referred upstairs and the first replay shows that Jacks is well short. ENGLAND FINISH ON 188/6! 188/6

10 OUT! CAUGHT! The 24-run over ends with a wicket! Fractionally short, around off, Lewis goes back and tries to pull it over mid-wicket but is not able to get much elevation. It is flat and dipping but Brydon Carse charges across from deep mid-wicket to his right and slides across to take a spectacular catch. The 58-run stand is broken and Lewis departs for 39 (23). West Indies are 91/3 after 10 overs. Equation - 98 from 60. 91/3

3.2 OUT! STUMPED! The wily old fox does it again. He has been in terrific form in the past 12 months, doing well as recently as the SA20. Flights this one outside off and entices the batter. Charles jumps out but Dawson smartly slows his pace down. Tosses it a bit wider outside off as well, which means Johnson has to reach out for the ball too. He is not to the pitch of the ball and swings wildly, only to miss. Easy stumping for Jos Buttler. Charles departs for 18 (15) and West Indies are 27/1 after 3.2 overs. Equation - 162 from 100. 27/1

5.2 OUT! CAUGHT! The debutant strikes on his second ball. A short ball, at the stumps, Shai Hope tries to pull but the ball hits the toe end of his bat. Lobs tamely to the right of mid on where Ben Duckett takes simple catch. Hope departs for 3 (7) and West Indies are 33/2 after 5.2 overs. Equation - 156 from 88. 33/2

11.3 OUT! CAUGHT! Duckett again! Full, outside off, Roston Chase leans into the shot and lofts it over mid off. But he ends up giving a simple catch to Ben Duckett at long off! West Indies are in a spiral mode now. 100/5

| Sherfane Rutherford | 2 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 50 |

11.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Dawson strikes on the first ball of a new spell! Tossed up nicely, outside off, Sherfane Rutherford looks to play the slog sweep but mistimes it towards wide long on. Decent catch from Ben Duckett again. 97/4

| Rovman Powell | 13 | 9 | 2 | 0 | 144.44 |

13.4 OUT! BOWLED! Wicket number 4 for Dawson! After two slow balls, Dawson fires in a quicker one. Right in line of the stumps and Powell is surprised by that. Stays back to work it from the crease but the ball skids through his defense and hits the stumps. Powell departs for 13 (9) and from 91/2, West Indies are 115/6! Equation - 74 from 38. 115/6

| Andre Russell | 15 | 13 | 0 | 1 | 115.38 |

16.1 OUT! BOWLED! Is that the game? Tossed up slowly, around middle and off, Andre Russell gets down to play a mighty slog but misses. The ball goes straight through and hits the stumps! Russell departs for 15 (13) and from 91/2, West Indies are now 130/8! Equation - 59 from 23. 130/8

|
15.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Another wrong 'un, outside off, Motie jumps down the track and looks to go downtown but only skies this high in the air. Easy catch for Tom Banton at long off. Russell is not impressed with that shot. He needs someone to hang in there. Motie departs for 3 (5) and from 91/2, West Indies have slipped down to 132/7! Equation - 57 from 26. 130/7

20 OUT! CAUGHT! This might cheer Potts a bit. He ends with a wicket. A slower ball, short in length around off, Romario Shepherd swings hard but cannot clear deep mid-wicket. Simple catch for Will Jacks at the mid-wicket fence. ENGLAND WIN BY 21 RUNS AND TAKE A 1-0 LEAD IN THE 3-MATCH T20I SERIES! 167/9
