Paris:Amelie Mauresmo finally made her Grand Slam breakthrough last year, winning both the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
Her goal in the next two weeks is to finally improve her play at the French Open, where she's never been past the quarterfinals.
"My dream is to win it," the fifth-ranked Mauresmo said in an interview with French sports daily L'Equipe published on Saturday. "I hope I find the right mix one day."
Mauresmo, who was good at math when she was a student, thinks her skill with numbers is a mixed blessing when it comes to tennis.
"This methodical spirit helps me, but also works against me," said Mauresmo, who lost to Anabel Medina Garrigues on Saturday in the final of a warmup tournament on clay in Strasbourg. "Because when I know what I have to do and it doesn't work, I get annoyed."
Mauresmo will play Laura Granville of the United States in her opening match at Roland Garros.
