At a time when his national teammates are preparing in Chennai for a challenging Test series against India, former Australian Test skipper Ricky Ponting was throwing tantrums during a RYOBI Cup one-day match in Perth on Tuesday.

The fire in Ponting still burns even after retiring from all forms of international cricket. It was a match between Tasmania and Western Australia at the WACA ground. Ponting was given run out during Tasmania’s innings. As he was leaving the field of play, Ponting threw his bat into the air and it landed a couple of metres in front of him. Ponting was dropped twice on his way to making 95 (off 105 balls and with 13 boundaries).

Cricket Australia (CA) fined Ponting for breaching the CA Code of Behaviour. It was Ponting's first offence in the last 18 months. At a hearing in Perth Wednesday afternoon, Ponting pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined 250 Dollars.
