Court charges ex-Pakistan Test cricketer Ijaz Ahmed

A local court in Lahore has charged former Pakistan test cricketer Ijaz Ahmed for issuing forged checks worth 10 million rupees ($105,000) in 2009.
Judicial magistrate Imtiaz Ahmed charged the former middle-order batsman and ordered the prosecution witnesses to appear in court on Nov. 10.
Ijaz Ahmed spent more than six weeks remanded in jail in 2009 after he was arrested for allegedly writing bad checks to two property dealers. He was later released on bail.
Ahmed played 60 test matches and scored 3,315 runs before retiring in 2001 and also served as Pakistan's fielding coach.
