Jonny Bairstow once again tries the reverse sweep and connects well too but hits it a lot flatter. The ball flies wide of backward point where Sai Sudharsan flings himself like a goalkeeper and gets his outstretched left hand on it. The ball loops up and Gerald Coetzee is there from short third to complete the catch. Bairstow walks back after a fiery 47 off just 22 balls! 84/1

13 OUT! CAUGHT! Sai Kishore ends his bowling duties for the night with a wicket. Flighted outside off, around the fuller length, Suryakumar Yadav reaches out and takes it on the full itself. But because of the need to reach, he does not connect his sweep properly. Mistimes it behind deep square leg where Washington Sundar does well to cover a few yards and take the catch to his left. 17.2 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Kusal Mendis finally manages to take a catch! Siraj bowls this on a good length, but takes all the pace off this time. Tilak shuffles across and goes for the scoop, but due to the lack of pace, all he manages is to glove it behind, where Mendis grabs a dolly. Pitches it up and on middle, gets it shape in sharply. Gill stays back and looks to whip it across the line, but misses it completely and gets hit on the pads right in front of the stumps. There is a huge shout for LBW, and up goes the finger. However, the GT skipper takes the review, but UltraEdge and Ball Tracking both go against him, and he takes a review with him. 6.2 OUT! HIT WICKET! What a shame for Kusal Mendis! Mitchell Santner strikes on his very second delivery of the night. Landed outside off, fractionally short, Mendis rocked back to try and play somewhere between a pull and a slog. While trying to do so, his back foot slid back, resulting in him slipping and went on to make contact with the off stump, demolishing the sticks. Extremely unfortunate for Mendis and it has been that sort of a night for him. He is already walking back even as the umpires want to check what exactly happened. They check for the no ball, which is deemed fine and then they check the replay. By the time the replay comes, Mendis is already near the GT dugout. 13.4 OUT! BOWLED! That's a yorker for ages! How much has that long break before the start of the 13th over effected Sundar? Corker of a delivery, outside leg stump, Washington Sundar looks to initially flick it but the ball then dips onto him and moves away as well, with the angle. 18.1 OUT! TAKEN IN THE DEEP! Trent Boult strikes at a crucial time for MI! Sherfane Rutherford cannot believe it, as this was right in the slot. Full and on middle, angling, there to be put away. Rutherford clears his front leg away and looks to slog it over mid-wicket, but gets it from the toe-end of the bat and fails to get the timing right.
