Aiden fails to keep the shot along the ground and hits it uppishly. It goes low towards Virat Kohli at cover, who is in a really tight spot. Kuldeep offers a good bit of flight and lands on a fuller length, on middle. Dewald Brevis gets down on a knee to slog it over deep mid-wicket, but he is nowhere near the pitch of the ball. He plays it very early. Gets a thick top edge and the ball hangs up in the air, over the mid-wicket region. Marco Jansen can't prevent himself from playing the big shot and goes for a slog sweep. Gets no timing on it whatsoever, as it is hit off the inner half of the bat. As a result, the shot does not have the power to clear the ropes. It goes only as far as Ravindra Jadeja stationed at the deep mid-wicket fence. He pitches it up, fuller, on off and turns it in toward the batter. Lungi Ngidi expected a googly and ended up defending outside the line. The ball turns in and sneaks past the inside edge to hit the front pad.
